Because Xenopus laevis frogs, lampreys, and certain fish species such as salmon and trout require water cooler than the ambient temperature, a chiller is essential to maintain an optimal animal habitat.

Product Information
Aquaneering offers water- and air-cooled chillers with temperature controllers. Like heaters, chillers are designed to provide on/off control. The temperature controller features an LCD display that provides a constant readout along with a touch keypad to allow programming of the desired temperature.
Chillers also function based on a set temperature called the setpoint, which is the desired water temperature. When the water temperature rises above the setpoint, the chiller turns on to lower it back to the setpoint, and turns off once the setpoint is reached.
