  • The sales representative will be primarily focused on sales of Aquatic Housing Systems for Aquaneering.  This effort will involve phone consultations, qualifying viable leads, customer needs evaluations and visits.  Other efforts will include closing sales with quotations prepared and approved by the Aquaneering home inside sales team, project liaison, and follow up with product training and technical support.  The leads for sales will be obtained by the sales representative’s outreach efforts, from trade show leads, from speaking engagements, and from the corporate headquarters.  Sales Rep’s efforts will involve actively seeking new leads by consistent community outreach, including calling qualified decision makers, exploratory emailing, attending Aquatic Lab Users meetings, and additional novel outreach methods developed by sales rep with home office input.

     The sales rep will focus primarily on the all regions of the US and Canada as defined in the Sales Representative Expectations Sheet.   In addition to the this outreach, the sales rep will be expected to assist with sales support tasks for all regions while in the corporate office, such as creating quotations, sales orders, answering phones, and other sales activities.

     Participation in several trade shows and industry professional meetings is required as outlined on the customized Expectations Sheet which is prepared for each territory.  In addition to initial formal sales training as part of the orientation period, the rep will also participate in one or more company sales training meetings each year.  The sales rep will maintain regular office hours when not traveling.

     The sales representative will have excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills to both approach and follow-up with targeted potential customers.  Record keeping is a mandatory part of the position for customer contact history, progress reports and expense reporting.  Prior experience with a CRM software such as Pipeline Deals is preferred.

     Travel is required and outlined on the Expectations Sheet.  Although some travel should be expected during the training period, it may be more limited than the stated expectation.  The Sales Rep should expect to travel a minimum of 75% to call on various clients and job sites in the North American Region, as well as to trade shows, sales meetings, and trainings.  Candidate must have the ability to travel without assistance including but not limited to airlines, busses, taxis, rental cars, and must have a clean driving record.  Candidate must be able to stand or sit for extended periods such as for long duration flights or tradeshows.  Candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

     The candidate should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Business, Science, Biology, Aquaculture or Communications.  Experience in aquatic husbandry or aquacultural systems is highly preferred.  The ideal candidate should be comfortable presenting in front of groups and have excellent speaking skills.  The sales rep will be expected to sign a confidentiality /non-compete agreement.

     Other Duties as Assigned

     HOURS:   8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday – Friday.   These hours are flexible based on travel schedule, but a minimum 40-hour per week is expected.  Regular office hours are to be maintained when not traveling.

     SALARY:  Base salary (BOE) plus commissions, Automobile Mileage and Travel Expense Reimbursement.  Cell phone and Laptop provided.

  • The Field Service Engineer (FSE) will work under the direct supervision of the Service Manager and Customer Support Supervisor. The FSE will work together with Customer Support and Installation Technicians.

    The FSE should have intermediate knowledge of Aquatic Research Systems to be able to provide troubleshooting support to customers, which includes in-person visit, email, phone and/or video call. The FSE responsibilities include learning and retaining knowledge on vendor equipment that will directly fall under maintenance needs in association with Aquaneering’s equipment.

    The FSE will also be involved with Warranty and RMA that fall under the Company Guidelines and Vendor Guidelines that will best serve the customer. Paperwork will be reviewed by the Customer Support Supervisor and/or Service Manager prior to submission for review.

    The FSE will also be a technical expert in the field and be required to travel daily by air and/or by ground transportation to assigned sites. This role requires the ability to be organized in administration work such as maintaining and logging expenses, miles, timesheet for job costing and important customer forms, and to be submitted to the Installation Supervisor to be logged in accounting. In field work will be required and expected to assist and leading in ongoing projects in the field, as well as Preventative Maintenance projects, and on-site walkthroughs. This will also include planned travel to the San Diego office for more in-depth training and Important Aquaneering Events/Meetings.

    Field Service Engineer Requirements

    • Learn and maintain knowledge of Aquaneering Systems and Company Standards

    • Ability to install, conduct Preventative Maintenance service, and train customers in the field unassisted.

    • Ability to turn in paperwork promptly and efficiently including trip reports, receipts, timecards without direct supervision.

    • Understanding of Engineering design blueprints in association with projects and Installation Management work plans to complete the projects assigned.

    • Ability to learn and use Company CRM software to complete given tasks in the field and in the office.

    Hours: This is a remote location job and the daily work hours vary dramatically depending on the customer’s availability. On-site work hours will also vary per job and customer requirement.

    Salary: Based on Experience.

  • Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Office Services & Travel Coordinator will work directly with the Company President and the Installation team to provide organizational support for various office functions including (but not limited to) email correspondence, booking and managing installer and sales team travel, travel estimating, coordinating with customers and updating and maintaining multiple calendars on a daily basis.

     Work directly with the company president to organize and prioritize time and appointments while communicating critical issues that are required for the President to facilitate efficient decision making. Provide organizational support for various office functions including (but not limited to) scheduling, typing, filing, printing out and returning emails, and updating multiple calendars on a daily basis. Serve as a liaison between the staff, management and the President regarding company climate, project updates, proposals, and planning.

     Perform receptionist duties to include greeting visitors, answering and directing phone calls, and ensure that all incoming communication is passed to the proper department. Will be responsible for managing three email accounts.

     Maintain detailed records on each customer which may span several months in the planning process.  Manage installation & service calendar for the install team in coordination with the Installation Manager.  Use existing SOP’s and checklists and create new or improved checklists where appropriate in order to best track the progress and information collection for each customer.

     Make all travel arrangements for installation technicians and sales team, including air, ground, hotel, customer contact and local reference information. Emergency after hours travel booking may be required. Create travel packets for each technician with trip overview, all transportation and accommodation details, maps, job packing slips, and other necessary information. Work with Installation Management for installation planning.  Once install is complete review all installer paperwork (timecards, expense reports, job sign off sheets, install checklist, emergency response plan, etc.)

     Work with the purchasing manager to prepare weekly office supply order. Restock and organize office, breakroom and restroom supplies on a daily basis. Maintain the break room daily and clean out refrigerator monthly. Liaison for outside services for building repairs, office equipment maintenance and repair.

    The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills to maintain several concurrent planning files where information is gathered over a period of time and must be kept current.  Proven excellence in both written and verbal communication skills are also required.  The candidate must be very detail oriented and have the aptitude to keep other team players informed of updates and changes.  Experience in making detailed travel arrangements is preferred. Ability to research options for travel is required for both domestic and foreign travel.  Must be a team player willing to pitch in where needed. 

     Other Duties as Assigned

     Education:  BA, BS or equivalent experience in communications, dispatching, scheduling, maintaining organized records, and coordinating with a team. Excellent command of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point required.  Experience in booking travel and maintaining multiple calendars required.
