Brine Shrimp (Artemia) Cysts

Brine Shrimp (Artemia) are an excellent food for zebrafish because they are high in protein and fatty acids, and an easy live food source because they can be stored and then easily hatched when needed.
The brine shrimp food is sold as cysts, which are eggs surrounded by protective shells. Dehydrated cysts are metabolically inactive and can remain dormant for years. The cysts will hatch once they are rehydrated.
